Recycling bin

Does anyone know why the city moved the recycling bin on Starkweather? The paper bin remains in the same spot but the recycling bin has been moved to the West 15th alley.

Recycling in the neighborhood?

Can folks tell me where I can drop off items for recycling in the area? Hours of availability would be helpful too. Also, do they take tires?
Thanks!

Loud 'BOOM' on Sunday at 4 PM?

Did anyone else hear the extremely loud boom at 4 PM on Sunday? This was an explosion at Mittal Steel. If you did hear it please send a report through the Pollution Log link on Tremonter.com to report it. Thanks!

Bike Ride for Clean Air

Join "Neighbors of Mittal Steel" and Ohio Citizen Action for a bike ride to benefit clean air in Cleveland on Saturday, April 28, 2007. Bike enthusiasts will meet at 10:00am at Lincoln Park in Tremont for a ride past Mittal Steel and Steelyard Commons. Riders are asked to raise $50 each from sponsors. A pledge form can be downloaded from Ohio Citizen Action's webpage - www.ohiocitizen.org - starting April 5th. The money raised will help pay for the 500 yard signs being put up around Cleveland to get Mittal Steel to clean up their pollution. For more information on the bike ride, if you would like a yard sign, or if you would like to make a financial contribution towards the yard signs, please contact Liz Ilg with Ohio Citizen Action at (216) 861-5200 or lilg@ohiocitizen.org.
