Shame on you

I am completely mortified and horrified by the business' located on Professor and Jefferson ave.  A young man came running past my home on Jefferson about 1/2 hour ago beaten so savagely he was barely recognizable through the blood. He stopped at my home and told me that he had been jumped on top of the hill at Jefferson and professor. He was on his way home when a black male walked next to him and started punching him in the face, A second man also black came up from behind him and they proceeded to beat this man and steal his wallet. These men/boys are young maybe early 20's one wearing a gray hoodie and the other wearing a t-shirt. NO ONE came to this man's aid and this happened at 8:30-9:00 at night at a busy intersection. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE??? You don't help people from this neighborhood? What happens when it is your patrons that are being robbed and then your business is all over the news??!!?? These same boys attempted to rob another young man last night. They are committing crimes and then running toward the housing complex's on Jefferson and then they sneak from between the houses and head back to the new projects where they lay their slimy heads.  Way to go Joe glad you welcomed back the lovely crowd that is living their now. These business' need to start securing their property's someone is going to end up dead and then what will you say??  Too many people are afraid. I would love to get a group of fed up residents together and start walking at night. And I'm not talking about the "secret society" that stalks the streets from their windows.  I'm talking about a group of people that if they see something happening they stop it, not just call the police who don't show up anyway's. Also I think that the residents of this neighborhood that don't want to walk but still want to help should hang a star of any kind in their street facing widows. Some sort of symbol to show its ok to come here for help. If you knock I will answer and help you. This is our neighborhood we need to unite and stand our ground. We cannot let anyone make this the kind of neighborhood it was when I was a kid growing up. Our streets need to be safe no matter what time you decide to you want to leave your house and no matter where you decide to park your car. I want my neighborhood back!
