Car of resident of central Tremont was burlgarized (broken window) late saturday night 3AM, for car stereo. A neighbor saw this theft in progress, as car alarm sounded and thief quickly and cleanly removed car stereo and jumped into a waiting get-away car, described as a silver compact which looked "Ford-Focus-like". Thief described by witness as African-American male, no notable features. Victim's car was parked in apron of drive with decent lighting, definitely visible. Stereo had faceplate removed but was still targeted. This was clearly a very bold theft by someone who knew what they were doing.
