Just to inform the community at about 2:30 am this morning the Scranton-Starkweather area was awakened by a very loud bang. I ran to one of my front windows and seen a smaller car leaving the area north bound on Scranton and then turned west on Brevier.

I was several 100 foot away from the incident but I witnessed this car side-swipe two parking vehicles on the east side of Scranton Ave. These vehicles belonged to residents.

I went to the site to actually see they swiped a third parked vehicle. Several neighbors, and two of the car owners all called CPD.

 CPD car 213a arrived and took the report for the neighbors and then toured the area to see if someone just dumped the car in the streets west of Scranton.

Wanted to bring this out to the community since their has been reports in the eastern part of Tremont about kids stealing cars and going on joy-rides side-swiping cars and dumping vehicles.
