There is a really nice article on About.com that highlights Tremont's churches. According to the article, Tremont has the largest concentration of historic churches in the country. The posting offers information about Zion United Church of Christ, Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ, St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, Holy Ghost Byzantine Church, Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, St. John Cantius Catholic Church, Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Church and St. Theodosius Russian Orthodox Cathedral. It leaves out St. Michael's Church on Scranton, which is celebrating its centennial this year.
