This July, the Northeastern Ohio Antiwar Coalition (NOAC) will sponsor a series of films that document war resistance from a variety of perspectives.

The
films, which are free and open to the public, will be shown each Monday
at 7:30 PM at Visible Voice Books. Doors at the bookstore will open at
6:30 PM, and moviegoers are encouraged to come early to browse the
shop’s wide selection of books.

Shocking and Awful:

This is the complete series put out by Deep Dish TV, a grassroots satellite network. In
response to the attempt to "shock and awe" Iraq into submission, Deep
Dish TV put out a call to artists, filmmakers and editors to create a
response of resistance. The result is a vivid collage that addresses
the war from a variety of angles, including the US occupation from
Iraqi perspectives, war profiteers, the privatization of the Iraqi
economy, the Homeland Security attack on Arab and Muslim Americans, and
the international resistance to the war.
