This July, the Northeastern Ohio Antiwar Coalition (NOAC) will sponsor a series of films that document war resistance from a variety of perspectives.

The
films, which are free and open to the public, will be shown each Monday
at 7:30 PM at Visible Voice Books. Doors at the bookstore will open at
6:30 PM, and moviegoers are encouraged to come early to browse the
shop’s wide selection of books.

Meeting Resistance:

This film has won several 2008 national and international film festival awards, and offers “a new glimpse into the hearts and minds of those who have dedicated themselves to ridding Iraq of its invaders,” (Variety Magazine).
The film documents the sentiments experienced and actions taken by a
nation's citizens when their homeland is occupied and presents what
many view as an essential link in understanding the Iraq war. The Washington Post has declared the film “a remarkable piece of war reporting.”
