City Services

I've called CPP's streetlight response line and left two messages in the past two weeks about a streetlight that is out. It has not been repaired yet and no one has responded to my number that I left.
Does anyone know an alternative number at the city to talk to a human being?

Dan, call your councilman's

Dan, call your councilman's office, a have them make the phone call. It will get repaired much faster. You should probably also grab the number off of the pole, because they'll likely ask for it; and that will help determine if the pole belongs to CPP or CEI or LMNOP or whomever.

Call 216-664-3922 and ask

Call 216-664-3922 and ask for Brenda Nelson. Explain to her what you stated in your posting that you have already made several reports.

Even if it is a number that the pole belongs to CEI, CPP will call them and report it for you.

If you try to contact CEI, it takes forever, usually up to two weeks even before you get a response. Brenda has been pretty good when our Block Club reports lights being out.

One other note if you happen to see that the fixture is still not working, and you see black electrical tape taped over the globe that means the fixture is bad and you will be out of luck for up to six weeks before CPP gets a replacement light fixture.

We reported several street

We reported several street lights being out, it took 6 weeks for them to be repaired. We contacted the electric companies directly and called Cimperman's office too.

As per my most recent stroll

As per my most recent stroll thru the nbhd, there is at least one light out on Professor just north of Jefferson, one out on W.10 just south of Literary, and two out on Kenilworth between W.14 and W.11. These last two make the walk along the north side of the park pretty forboding at night. The one by Professor and Jefferson is right outside the TWDC office and Farenheit. These are all pretty prominent pedestrian areas that should always be well lit for safety reasons, if nothing else.
