My initial reaction to Dave's email to Guy was to cheer, except that I wished he wouldn't have included the line about it's being a threat.  Many of Guy's posts have been meaningless and annoying to me.  However, after reading that wonderful post from Dawn, I am re-thinking my support of the idea of banning Guy.  Dawn is right; we have no "rules" that I know of, and have in fact, informally agreed that since no one wants to be  the monitor, we will not have any rules. 

We have asked people to sign their posts, change the subject line when they are changing the topic, and not be ugly to each other.  None of those rules are followed all of the time, and no one has been banned in the past.  And we have had times where we have had seriously nasty posts going back and forth, and times where we have had a series of posts that are irrelevant to most of us.  That is what the delete button is for, and I use it often when a thread doesn't interest me - and I hope that the topic hasn't been changed by someone who forgot to change that subject line.

So, I have changed my mind, and I always hate it when I have to do that.  But wiser and cooler heads than mine have been heard from, and should prevail.  Sorry Dave, those posts do annoy me, too.  anita/w 44th

Thanks for posting this Dawn.

If you don't want to read what the guy has to say then simply, don't
read it. Easy enough. He's not nasty or mean spirited, so leave him
alone. There may be somebody on here that can't wait to hear what he
has to say every day.

Should we not allow Becca to post anymore because her business is in
Tremont, not OC? Should we ban whomever had the bright idea of we
can each only post once per day? Should we ban Scott because he's a
Republican? Can we please, please, please ban those who come on here
and argue about Sr. Whatsherface and Santiago and any other name they
can come up with? Please?
