increase in litter in the area
Has anyone else noticed an increase in litter in the area? I've specifically noticed McDonalds and Burger King bags in the street at intersections around W.11 and Kenilworth, W.10 and Kenilworth, and W.11 and Starkweather, as well as along the curb where people park for Lincoln Park. This litter in the intersections along Kenliworth could be just one or a few individuals who do this repeatedly/daily and thus make the appearance that it is numerous perpetrators.
Litter does a great job of making any nice area look like crap and should never be tolerated. There has been so much effort by so many neighbors this year to make the neighborhood look its best ever, and we should not lower our standards for behavior that is in no way understandable or acceptable There are plenty of trash cans around--this is certainly intentional, thoughtless behavior--there is no excuse. Does anyone have any observations or suggestions?

I suggest picking up one or two pieces of litter when you see them and carrying them to the nearest trash can. It only takes an extra few seconds and if enough people make a habit of it, problem solved.
Also, if you see someone littering yell "Hey! Pick that up!"

I have seen the african american kids that don't wear their shirts and have towels or t-shirts or whatever on top of their heads throwing down that type of garbage near the proff market also closer to Kenilworth.
There is also a bunch of - it seems like mentally challenged persons- that sometimes comes walking down Kenilworth in a very large group of 20 or so. It could also be them.
