Next Wednesday, April 25, 2007, there will be a presentation with some redevelopment ideas for the W.3rd Street Peninsula. The project was an undertaking by the 4th year students at Michigan State University for a winter project. A total of 6 teams were divided up to investigate the current site, look at the current dynamics of the overall Cleveland market and economy, and trends for the future. Tim Donovan with the Canal Corridor was the motivation behind this endeavor with the university, and is sponsoring the meeting on 4/25, along with Brian Fabo, the Sokolowski’s, and Sammy Catania. The students finalized their projects about a month ago, and this project will likely be continued over the next few classes for refinement.

We invite everyone (and pass the word along to other interested neighbors) to attend this meeting. Although these plans are preliminary, Tim is interested in getting feedback from the neighbors on the plans presented in order to gauge the interest of the neighbors in the future of this area.

We are starting the presentation at Sokolowski’s that evening (Wednesday 4/25/07) at 6:30pm.

Thanks! We hope you can join us for the presentation of this exciting project!

Thought provoking proposals. Definitely worth taking a look at. I hope they do another presentation.
