Lincoln Park Cleanup
Posted April 7th, 2008 by slsmith819You know it's spring when the Tremont Gardeners schedule the Lincoln Park cleanup!
We will meet at the gazebo at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, to rake leaves, prune shrubs and dead grasses, pick up trash from the beds, etc. We probably will be there a couple of hours, so stop by and help or stop by and say hello.
If you're planning to help, please bring any garden tools you have, like pruners, rakes and brooms. We'll have heavy-duty garbage bags.
Forget Taxes, Go Hear Poetry at the Lit
Posted April 4th, 2008 by stevegWith April, comes the promise of the end of winter, true
rebirth with muddy puddles and baseball's opening day. It is also tends to mean just one more snow
fall in the Cleveberg land of eternal grey.
Such is ambitious expectation, so many times based on overwhelming
desire for something just a little better...or warmer. Foolishness in chance. However, a sure thing is that April IS
national poetry month and The Lit Cafe has evolved to a point that it NEVER

Simple Yard Care
Posted April 3rd, 2008 by jeffschulerThis month's Bright Ideas in the Plain Dealer features Tremont's Simple Yard Care, owned and operated by Daniel Lake and Allison Hurley: Yard care without the roar of machines.
Simple Yard Care "uses only manual tools -- such as rakes and push mowers -- and organic fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides. Rather than use a truck to carry equipment and debris, they pull trailers on their bikes."
Calling all Tremont Landlords!
Posted March 26th, 2008 by Adam HarveyOne initiative derived from the Tremont Round Table sessions:
Consolidate all available rental units into a single location to help
sell the neighborhood and speed the pairing of landlords and tenants.
Free of charge, list your property with Southside Concierge.
Southside Concierge fields tenant leads daily and by listing your
property you have access to these leads with no cost or effort.
Also, don't forget the "Welcome Kit" gift bags.
Next Door Deli (finally)
Posted March 24th, 2008 by ChetAfter a many month absence from the neighborhood food repertoire, Next Door Deli opened quietly on St. Patrick's Day. The new location is across the street from Visible Voice (where the dry cleaners used to be).
And NDD picked up with the yum right where it left off. I understand the menu is significantly expanded from the old location, but in my 4 trips there, I haven't made it past the Egghead, Meatball sub (meatballs now made from scratch), or Gonzo, so I can't say what is new.
